SSCI Q1 kategorisinde yer alan uluslararası turizm dergileri örnekleminde gastronomi konusu üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Social Sciences Citation Index’te (SSCI) taranan ve bilimsel dergi sıralamasında (Scientific Journal Rankings) Q1 (quartile) kategorisinde yer alan uluslararası turizm dergilerinde yayımlanan makalelerde gastronomi konusuna yönelik ilgiyi tespit etmektir. Bu amaçla 2018 yılı verilerine göre sıralanan ve Q1 kategorisinde yer alan 25 dergi, 1974-2019 yıllarını kapsayacak şekilde taranmıştır. Betimsel analiz çerçevesinde doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmış ve içerik analizi yapmak suretiyle gastronomi konusuna yönelik durum tespiti yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanındaki dergilerde yer alan başlık, anahtar kelime ve özetlerinde "gastronomi" kelimesi bulunan toplam 54 makale oluşturmaktadır. Yayınlar; yayın bilgileri, kelime analizleri ve atıf bilgileri olmak üzere üç ana başlıkta analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, yıllara ve konularına göre dağılımı ile yayım yerleri; gastronomiyle ilgili yapılan çalışmalarda öne çıkan anahtar kelimeler; dergiler, atıf sayıları ve yıllar bazında yayınların atıf dağılımları ve en fazla atıf alan çalışmalar belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarının, gastronomi konusunun genel eğilimi noktasında konuyla ilgilenenlere bir çerçeve çizdiği düşünülmektedir.

The aim of this study is to determine the interest in gastronomy in the articles published in the International Tourism Journals which are scanned in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and ranked in the Q1 (quartile) category of scientific journals. For this purpose, 25 journals in the Q1 category, which were ranked according to 2018 data, were searched to cover the years 1974- 2019. Document analysis method was used within the framework of descriptive analysis and content analysis was conducted to determine the situation for gastronomy. The sample of the study consists of 54 articles in the journals of Web of Science (WoS) database which contain the word "gastronomy" in their titles, keywords and abstracts. The publications were analyzed under three main headings: publication information, word analysis and citation information. In the research, the following results are presented about the studies on gastronomy published in international tourism journals in SSCI Q1 category. As a result of the research, distribution according to years and subjects and publishing places; prominent keywords in studies on gastronomy; citation distributions of journals, number of citations and years and the most cited studies were determined. The results of the research are thought to provide a framework for those interested in the general tendency of gastronomy.
