dc.description.abstract	Bu tez çalışmasında, Nd0.2Gd0.8Mn2Ge2 bileşiğinin manyetik özellikleri ve manyetokalorik etki (MCE), X-ışını kırınımı ve mıknatıslanma ölçümleri ile çalışılmıştır. Bileşik ark fırınında eritilerek hazırlanmıştır. Bileşik uzay grubu I4/mmm olan tetragonal ThCr2Si2 tipi yapıda kristallenir. Örnekte yeniden geçişli ferrimanyetizma gözlenmiştir. Dengelenme noktası 82 K sıcaklığındadır. 0?1 T'lık manyetik alan değişiminde Nd0.2Gd0.8Mn2Ge2 bileşiğinin en büyük manyetik entropi değişimi \|?Smax\| 0.812 Jkg?1K?1'dir.	tr_TR
dc.description.abstract	In this thesis, the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of Nd0.2Gd0.8Mn2Ge2 compound have been studied by means of X-ray diffraction and magnetization measurements. The sample has been prepared by arc-melting. The compound crystallizes in the tetragonal ThCr2Si2-type structure with I4/mmm space group. Re-entrant ferrimagnetism has been observed for the sample. The compensation point has been observed at 82 K. The maximum magnetic entropy change \|?Smax\| of Nd0.2Gd0.8Mn2Ge2 is 0.812 Jkg?1K?1 for a field change of 0?1 T.	tr_TR
