Nevşehir ilinde ekoturizmin geliştirilmesine yönelik yerel paydaşların görüşleri

Abstract

ÖZET Bu araştırma dahilinde doğal turistik çekiciliğe sahip dünya kültür miras listesinde yer alan Kapadokya Bölgesi sınırlarındaki Nevşehir ilinin sahip olduğu Ekoturizm potansiyeli ve bölgede gerçekleştirilen ekoturizm faaliyetlerinin Nevşehir İlinde görev yapan yerel paydaşlar tarafından değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel (kalitatif) araştırma yöntemi ve keşifsel araştırma tasarımından yararlanılmıştır. Veriler, Nevşehir ili ve ilçesinde görev yapan yerel paydaşlarla yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Mülakatların gerçekleştirildiği katılımcılara 20 soru yönetilmiş ve katılımcıların yanıtları doğrultusunda sorular çeşitlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda ise görüşme sırasında elde edilen bilgiler öncülüğünde çalışmanın önemini daha da ortaya çıkarmak için Nevşehir İlinin ekoturizme yönelik GZFT (SWOT) analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analiz Nevşehir ilinin ekoturizm potansiyelini güçlü, zayıf yönlerini fırsat ve tehditlerle birlikte ele almaktadır. GZFT analizi, kişisel görüşmeler, doğal kaynak alanların belirlenmesi ve bilgilerin derlenerek yorumlanması sonucunda Kapadokya Bölgesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Nevşehir ilinin ekoturizm açısından sahip olduğu coğrafi konum ve peribacaları, yer altı şehirleri gibi doğal oluşumları içerisinde barındırması, bölgenin tarihi doğal güzellikleri sebebiyle balon turları, at biniciliği, el sanatları vadi yürüyüşleri vb. gibi aktivitelerin geliştiriliyor olması yönleriyle başarılıdır. Nevşehir ilinin doğal kaynak potansiyelinin ekoturizm için yeterli olduğu ancak sahip olunan doğal kaynakların sürdürülebilir kullanma bilincinin gelişmediği ve bu nedenle doğal kaynaklara zarar verildiği gözlenmektedir. Bu bağlamda en yüksek oranda verim alarak faydalanabilmek için öncelikli Ekoturizm kavramının yerel paydaşlar ve yerli halkın bilinçlendirilmesine yönelik birimlerin harekete geçerek eğitim verdikten sonra bölge kalkınmasını destekleyici tüm kurum ve kuruluşların işbirliği içinde herkese hitap edebilecek ve talebi en üst düzeyde karşılayabilecek planlama yapması, proje ve faaliyetlerin bölgedeki kurum ve kuruluşlarca uyumu içinde hayata geçirilmesinin faydalı olabileceği düşünülmektedir. ABSTRACT Within the scope of this research, it is aimed to evaluate the ecotourism potential of Nevşehir province within the borders of Cappadocia Region which is in the world cultural heritage list with natural tourist attraction and the ecotourism activities realized in the region by local stakeholders working in Nevşehir Province. Qualitative research method and exploratory research design were used in the study. Data were collected by semi-structured interview technique with local stakeholders working in Nevşehir province and district. 20 questions were administered to the participants and the questions were diversified in line with the responses of the participants. At the end of the study, SWOT analysis of Nevşehir Province for ecotourism was carried out in order to reveal the importance of the study with the help of the information obtained during the interview. This analysis addresses the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats of the ecotourism potential of Nevşehir. As a result of SWOT analysis, personal interviews, determination of natural resource areas and compiling and interpreting the information, Nevşehir province located within the borders of Cappadocia Region has ecotourism in terms of geographical location and fairy chimneys, underground cities, natural formations such as balloon tours, horse riding, crafts valley walks etc. It is successful in the development of activities such as. It is observed that the natural resource potential of Nevşehir province is sufficient for ecotourism, but the awareness of sustainable use of natural resources is not developed and therefore natural resources are damaged. In this context, in order to benefit from the highest rate of efficiency, the priority concept of Ecotourism is to raise awareness of the local stakeholders and local people and to provide the highest level of efficiency.
