Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin insan yaşantısı için önemli olan bilgiyi, beceriyi ve değerleri kazandıran bir ders olması; 2005 ve 2018 yıllarında gerçekleştirilen program değişikliklerinde değer eğitimi konusunun program içinde vurgulanması bu araştırmanın hareket noktasını teşkil etmektedir. Bu araştırmada programa yeni girmiş olan “tasarruf” değeri üzerinde çalışılmış ve öğretmen adaylarının “tasarruf” kavramına ilişkin metaforlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemine uygun olarak Olgubilim deseninden yararlanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda öğretmen adaylarına “Tasarruf ….. gibidir; Çünkü …..” şeklinde ifadeleri sorulmuştur. Görüşme formundaki ilk boşluğa “tasarruf” kavramı ile ilgili benzetim kurmaları ve ikinci boşluğa ise kurmuş oldukları benzetmenin gerekçesini açıklamaları istenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Ölçme aracının güvenirliği %89 olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde bir devlet üniversitesinde 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıflarda öğrenim gören 95 kadın, 74 erkek toplam 169 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen verilere göre; öğretmen adayları tasarruf kavramıyla ilgili 59 farklı metafor üretmişlerdir. Üretilen metaforlar ortak özellikleri açısından on kavramsal kategori altında toplanmıştır.
The fact that social studies is a course providing knowledge, skill and value that are important for human life and the emphasis on value education within the curriculum in the program changes in 2005 and 2018 is the starting point of this research. In this study, the value of saving that was just entered the program was studied and it was aimed to determine the metaphors of the preservice teachers regarding the concept of value of “saving”.
In this study, phenomenological pattern was implemented in accordance with the qualitative research model. Interview form was used as data collection tool. In this sense, questions such as “saving is like …… Because ….…” was asked to the preservice teachers. They were asked for set up an analogy about the notion of saving in the first blank on the interview form and explaining the reason behind the analogy they made. Content analysis technique was used in analysing the acquired data. The reliability of surveying means was determined as %89. The study group consisted of the research; in the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, 95 women and 74 men studying at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades constitute a total of 169 social studies teacher preservice. According to the data obtained, the preservice teachers produced 59 different metaphors about the concept of saving. Metaphors produced are subsumed under 10 conceptual categories in terms of common trait.
