Abstract:
In this work, CoB films were produced by electroless plating method in order to investigate their potential usage as negative electrodes in Li-ion batteries. EQCM experiments carried out in parallel to the cyclic voltammetry (CV) experiments were used to evaluate the extend of Li ion entrance into the coated film. Since Sn coating exhibits high performance as an anode electrode in Li - ion batteries, the synthesized CoB films were compared with Sn coating in order to evaluate the electrode performances. For EQCM experiments, Pt crystals (total area was 0.2 cm2) were used to coat CoB and Sn films. The weight of CoB and Sn films were measured approximately 60µg and 54 µg, respectively. CV experiments were carried out by sweeping the potential from open circuit potential to 0 V_(Li⁄〖Li〗^+ ), then from 0 V_(Li⁄〖Li〗^+ ) to open circuit potential.
