Darende (Malatya) çevresinde eosen istifi bentik foraminiferlerinin biyometrik özellikleri

Abstract

Çalışma alanı Malatya İlinin, Darende İlçesi'nin kuzeydoğusu, kuzeybatısı ve güneydoğusunda yer almaktadır. Darende ve çevresindeki stratigrafik birim tabanda Kretase, Tersiyer ve Kuvaterner yaşlı birimlerden meydana gelmektedir. Çalışma alanındaki en yaşlı birimler Kretase kireçtaşları, güneyde ve kuzeyde önemli yapısal yükseltiler ile meydana gelmektedir. Orta Eosen (Lütesiyen), Geç Eosen (Bartoniyen) ve Plio-Kuvaterner yaşlı çökeller yapısal yükseltilerin arasındaki çukurluğu doldurmaktadır. Yenice ve Asartepe Formasyonu içerisinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan araştırmada, 3 stratigrafik kesit ölçülüp, kesitlere bağlı fosili bol ve tabakalar ayrışmış olup 18 örnek alınmıştır. Bu örneklerden 391 adet ince kesit yapılmıştır. Bu kesitlerden elde edilen bentik foraminifer örneklerinden 13 cins ve 18 tür tanımlanmıştır. Bu tanımlanan türler Geç Lütesiyen'de SBZ 16, Erken Bartoniyen'de SBZ 17 ve Geç Bartoniyen'de SBZ 18 zonunu temsil etmektedir. Bu durum çalışılan alandaki birimlerin sığ denizel ortamda istiflendiğini gösterir. Eosen tabakaları içerisinde yer alan bu türler Alveolina sp., Assilina exponens, N. beaumonti, N. discorbinus, N. perforatus, N. ptukhiani, Discocyclina sp. discus dır. Bölgede SBZ 16, SBZ 17, SBZ 18 biyozonları saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, Asartepe, Boztepe ve Musutepe kesitlerinden oluşturulan Assilina exponens, Nummulites beaumonti, Nummulites discorbinus, Nummulites ptukhiani ve Nummulites perforatus bireylerinin A ve B formlarının biyometrik incelemesi yapılmıştır. Kavkı örneklerine ait maksimum kalınlıklar kesit boyunca sık aralıkta değişim gösterir, kavkıların maksimum çaplarında geniş aralıkta dalgalanma gözlenmektedir.

The study area is located in the northeast, northwest and southeast of the Darende District of Malatya Province. The stratigraphic unit in Darende and its environs consists of Cretaceous, Tertiary and Quaternary units at the base. The oldest units in the study area are formed by Cretaceous limestones, important structural elevations in the south and north. Middle Eocene (Lutetian), Late Eocene (Bartonian) and Plio-Quaternary sediments fill the pit between structural elevations. Yenice and Asartepe Formation. In this research, 3 stratigraphic sections were measured and fossil bound abundant and strata were separated and 18 samples were taken. 391 thin sections were made from these samples. 14 genus and 18 species were identified from benthic foraminifera samples obtained from these sections. These identified species represent SBZ 16 zone in the Late Lutetian, SBZ 17 zone in the Early Bartonian and SBZ 18 zone in the Late Bartonian. It indicates that the units in the studied area are stacked in shallow marine environment. These species in the Eocene strata Alveolina sp., Assilina exponens, N. beaumonti, N. discorbinus, N. perforatus, N. ptukhiani, Discocyclina sp. discus. SBZ 16, SBZ 17, SBZ 18 biozones were detected in the region. In addition, Asartepe, Boztepe and Musutepe formed sections Assilina exponens, Nummulites beaumonti, Nummulites discorbinus, Nummulites ptukhiani ve Nummulites perforatus A and B forms of individuals were examined biometric. Maximum thickness of shell samples varies frequently across the section, fluctuations in the wide range of maximum diameters of the shells are observed.
