Edinburgh (İngiltere) Herbaryumu'nda bulunan Marrubium L. (Lamiaceae) cinsine ait bazı türlerin polen morfolojisi

Abstract

Edingburgh Herbaryumu'nda bulunan Lamiaceae familyasından Marrubium L. cinsine ait 5 türün (M. alysson L., M. incanum Desr., M. leonuroides Desr., M. supinum L. ve M. velutinum Sm.) polen morfolojileri Işık mikroskobu (LM) ve Taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) kullanılarak incelenmiştir. İncelenen türlerin polen şekli sferoidal (M. alysson), prolate-sferoidal (M. incanum) ve oblate-sferoidal (M. leonuroides, M. supinum, M. velutinum)'dır. Apertür tipleri ise trikolpate olup, ornamentasyonları psilate-perforate (M. alysson, M. incanum), perforate (M. leonuroides), rugulate-perforate (M. supinum) ve perforate-retikulate (M. velutinum)' tır. Genellikle polenler apertür tipi (trikolpate) bakımdan benzer, polen şekli, polar ve ekvatoral eksen ortalamaları, ornamentasyon, kolpus uzunluğu ve genişliği bakımından ise birbirinden farklılık göstermektedir. Çalışmada elde edilen verilere göre Marrubium L. türlerinin filogenetik hipotezinde polen şekli ve ornamentasyonları tiplere (tip l, ll ve lll) ayrılmıştır. Tip l türlerinin polen şekli oblate-sferoidal olup, polen ornamentasyonu bakımından A, B ve C gruplarına ayrılmaktadır. A grubu perforate (M. leonuroides), B grubu rugulate-perforate (M. supinum) ve C grubu perforate-retikulate (M. velutinum) ornamentasyonuna sahiptir. Tip ll'de polen şekli prolate-sferoidal olup, ornamentasyonu psilate-perforate (M. incanum)'dır. Tip lll'de polen şekli sferoidal olup, polen ornamentasyonu psilate-perforate (M. alysson)'dır. Pollen morphologies of 5 species (M. alysson L., M. incanum Desr., M. leonuroides Desr., M. supinum L. ve M. velutinum Sm.) of Marrubium L. belonging to Lamiaceae preserved in Edinburgh Herbarium, were examined by using light (LM) and scanning (SEM) electron microscopy. The species studied are spheroidal in M. alysson, prolate-spheroidal in M. incanum and oblate-spheroidal in M. leonuroides, M. supinum, M. velutinum. Aperture types of the species are tricolpate and pollen ornamentations are psilate-perforate in M. alysson and M. incanum, perforate in M. leonuroides, rugulate-perforate in M. supinum and perforate-reticulate in M. velutinum. Pollen of the species are usually similar in aperture type. However, the pollen shape, ornamentations, means of polar and equatorial axis, colpus length and width are different from each other. According to the pollen morphology data in this study, pollen shapes and ornamentations are divided into types (types l, ll and lll) in the phylogenetic hypothesis of Marrubium L. species. Pollen shape of Type l species is oblate-spheroidal and is divided into groups A, B and C in terms of pollen ornamentation. Group A has perforate (M. leonuroides), group B has rugulate-perforate (M. supinum) and group C has perforate-reticulate (M. velutinum) ornamentation. In type ll, pollen shape is prolate-spheroidal and ornamentation is psilate-perforate (M. incanum). In Type lll, polen shape is spheroidal and pollen ornamentation is psilate-perforate (M. alysson).
