Çocuk gelişimi öğrencileri tarafından geliştirilen eğitim materyallerinin incelenmesi: Pazen tahta tekniği

Abstract

“Pazen tahta tekniği” okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında etkinlik sırasında hikaye anlatmada kullanılan bir materyaldir. Teknik hazırlanırken çocuğun bilişsel ve sosyal gelişim özellikleri göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. Amaç: Bu çalışma çocuk gelişimi ön lisans öğrencilerinin pazen tahta tekniği kullanarak geliştirdiği eğitim materyallerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde öğrenim gören Çocuk Gelişimi öğrencilerinin ders kapsamında hazırladıkları eğitim materyalleri incelenmiştir. “Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programları” dersi kapsamında hazırladıkları toplam 30 eğitim materyali genel özellikler ve yaratıcılık bakımından incelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Eğitim materyalleri incelenirken çalışmacılardan bağımsız 3 uzmandan (2 okul öncesi öğretmenliği, 1 çocuk gelişimi) görüş alınmıştır. Eğitim materyalleri; genel özellikler ve yaratıcılık özellikler formları kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir Bulgular: Eğitim materyallerinin incelenmesi sonucunda; eğitim materyallerinin 3’ünün arkadaşlık, 3’ünün temizlik ve sağlıklı yaşam, 2’sinin yardımlaşma, 22’sinin ise diğer (sabırlı olma, güven duyma, bencil olmama, dostluk, sevgi, saygı duyma, sözünde durma, merak, iyilik etme ve hayvan sevgisi) kavramları konu edindiği belirlenmiştir. Eğitim materyalleri genel özellikleri bakımından değerlendirildiğinde; materyallerin tamamının “içerik olarak çocuğun bilişsel ve duygusal gelişim özelliklerine uygunluğu”, “kullanılan malzemelerin çocuk sağlığına uygunluğu”, “dikkat çekicilik”, “öğretici ve eğlenceli olması” ve “tekniğin hikayede verilmek istenen mesaja uygunluk” kriterlerlerine göre uygun olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca “artık malzemelerin uygun yerde kullanımı’’ kriterine göre 8’inin uygun olduğu, 22’sinin uygun olmadığı, “karakter boyutlarının birbirileriyle uyumu kriteri’’ için 13 materyalin uygun olduğu, 17’sinin ise uygun olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Eğitim materyalleri yaratıcılık özelliklerine göre ise “Ayrıntılılık” ilkesine göre 25’inin uygun olduğu 5’inin uygun olmadığı saptanmıştır. Materyallerin “esneklik, orijinallik, akıcılık” özelliklerine göre tamamının uygun olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırmanın sonucunda çocuk gelişimi öğrencilerinin materyal hazırlama tekniklerine uygun ve yaratıcı materyaller hazırladıkları görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda; çocuk gelişimi alanında farklı yöntemlerin geliştirildiği çalışmaların yapılması önerilir.

"Flannel board technique" is a material used for storytelling during activities in preschool education institutions. While preparing the technique, the cognitive and social development characteristics of the child should be taken into consideration. Objective: This study was conducted to examine the educational materials developed by child development associate degree students using the flannel board technique. Materials and Methods: The document analysis method, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the research. The educational materials prepared by the Child Development students studying in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year were examined. A total of 30 educational materials they prepared within the scope of the "Program in Preschool" course were examined and evaluated in terms of general characteristics and creativity. While examining the educational materials, opinions of 3 experts (2 pre-school teaching, 1 child development) independent of the researchers were taken. Educational materials; general characteristics and creativity characteristics were evaluated using the forms. Results: As a result of the examination of educational materials; Of the educational materials, 3 were for friendship, 3 for cleanliness and healthy life, 2 for solidarity, and 22 for other (patience, trust, selflessness, friendship, love, respect, keeping promises, curiosity, kindness and love of animals) was determined to be the subject of the concepts. When the educational materials are evaluated in terms of their general characteristics; It has been determined that all of the materials are suitable according to the criteria of "compliance with the cognitive and sensory development characteristics of the child in terms of content", "the suitability of the materials used for the child's health", "attractiveness", "being instructive and entertaining" and "suitability of the technique to the message to be given in the story". In addition, it has been determined that 8 of them are suitable according to the "use of materials in suitable places" criteria, 22 of them are not suitable, 13 materials are suitable for "the criterion of harmonization of character dimensions with each other", and 17 of them are not suitable. According to the creativity characteristics of the training materials, it was determined that 25 of them are appropriate and 5 of them are not suitable according to the "Detail" principle. It has been determined that all of the materials are suitable for their "flexibility, originality, fluency" features. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was seen that the child development students prepared creative materials suitable for material preparation techniques. In line with these results; Studies in which different methods are developed in the field of child development are recommended.
