Abstract

ÖZET: Bu çalışma, değer eğitimi yöntemlerine uygun olarak geliştirilen çevre eğitimi etkinliğinin, ilköğretim 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin çevreye ilişkin tutumları üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öntest sontest kontrol gruplu deneme modeli kullanılmıştır. Deney gurubu 30, kontrol gurubu ise 32 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri için her iki gruba deneysel çalışma sürecinin başında ve sonunda “Çevre Tutum Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 15 programında analiz edilmiştir. Bu analiz sonucunda deney ve kontrol grubunun sontest ölçüm sonuçlarına göre deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır [t(60)=11.467, p<.05]. Buna göre, uygulanan etkinlik öğrenci tutumları üzerinde olumlu bir etki göstermiştir.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of environmental education activities based on value education on 7th grade students’ attitudes toward environment. The study was designed according to pre-test, post-test control group design. Experimental group consists of 30, control group consists of 32 students. The data of the study were collected by “Attitudes toward Environment Questionnaire”. The instrument was applied to both treatment groups as a pretest and post-test. The data of the study were analyzed bu SPSS 15. The results of the study revealed that a significant difference between experimental and control groups with respec to their post-test results [t(60)=11.467, p<.05]. Based on the results, it can be concluded that activities in the study are affective on students’ attitudes.
