13 numaralı Nevşehir şer’iyye sicili’nde yer alan tereke kayıtlarına göre müslim ve gayrimüslimlerin sosyo-ekonomik durumları (1908-1910)

Abstract

Şer’iyye sicilleri Osmanlı Devleti’nin en önemli kültür miraslarındandır. Muhtevalarının zenginliği oldukça fazladır. Pek çok konuda kaynak olma özelliğine sahiptir. Osmanlı’da aile, toplum, ekonomi ve hukuk gibi birçok alanın önemli kaynak malzemelerini ihtiva eder. Yine aynı şekilde Osmanlı dönemi kent tarihi araştırmacıları için de oldukça öneme sahiptir. Şer’iyye sicil defterlerindeki kayıtlarda, meskûn kişiye has gündelik ev eşyaları, ziynet, giyim kuşam ve bakım malzemeleri bulunur. Müslim ve gayrimüslim ailelerin hayat tarzları, icra ettiği zanaat dalları ile mesleklerine ait araç gereçler, mülkünde tuttuğu gayrı menkul ve kadının sosyal hayattaki rolü gibi iktisadî varlıklar hakkında da bilgiler sunar. Bu çalışma 1908-1910 yılları arasında Nevşehir Şer’iyye Mahkemesi’nce kaydı tutulan 13 Numaralı Nevşehir Şer’iyye Sicili Defteri’ndeki tereke kayıtlarının verilerine göre hazırlanmıştır. Bu defterde kayıtlı 38 kişinin ikamet yerleri, medeni durumları, varis sayıları, servet miktarları ve mensubu bulundukları inanç bilgileri gibi hususlar incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler tablolara dökülmek suretiyle ayrıntılı bir şekilde değerlendirilmelere tabi tutulmuş ve belirtilen tarih aralığında Nevşehir’in sosyo-ekonomik yaşantısına dair bilgiler ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Ser`iyye registers are among the most important cultural heritage of the Ottoman Empire. The richness of the contents is quite high. It has the property of being a resource in many subjects. It contains important source materials in many fields such as family, society, economy and law in the Ottoman Empire. Likewise, the Ottoman period is very important for the researchers of urban history. The records in the Ser`iyye registry books contain daily household items, trappings, clothing and care materials. It also provides information about the lifestyles of Muslim and non-Muslim families, the tools of the crafts branches, the real estate they hold in their property, and the role of women in social life. This study was prepared according to the data of the land registry records in the Nevsehir Ser’iyye Registry Book numbered 13, which was recorded in Nevsehir Şer’iyye between 1908-1910. 38 people registered in this book, residence, marital status, number of heirs, wealth amounts and belief information they belong to issues have been examined. The data obtained were analyzed in detail and the information about the socio-economic life of Nevşehir within the specified date range was tried to be revealed.
