Kayseri'de öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Kayseri, Türkiye ve İslam algısı

Abstract

Türkiye?deki yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin ülkemiz hakkındaki izlenimleri ve değerlendirmeleri, Türkiye?nin uluslararası imajı açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu tespitten hareketle, bu çalışmada Kayseri ili merkez Kocasinan ilçesi Mustafa Germirli Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesinde okuyan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Kayseri, Türkiye ve İslam algısı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, yabancı öğrencilerin ülkemiz, Kayseri ve İslam dini hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmek ve buna bağlı olarak karar merciindeki kişilere öğrenci memnuniyetini artırıcı geri besleme sağlamaktır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin algılarını belirlemeye yönelik nicel ve nitel teknikler kullanılmıştır. Nicel veri toplama yöntemi olarak anket çalışmasına yer verilmiş ve elde edilen veriler istatistiki olarak yorumlanmıştır. Anket uygulamasının yanı sıra araştırma alanını okuyucuya daha iyi tanıtmak ve toplanan verilerin doğruluğunu kontrol etmek amacıyla, paydaş kurum yetkilileri, okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerle de görüşülmüştür. Görüşmeden elde edilen nitel veriler, içerik analizi ve betimsel analize tabii tutularak okuyucuya aktarılmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda; Mustafa Germirli Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesinde okuyan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin, Kayseri ve Türkiye hakkında olumlu algılara sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Aynı sonuç İslam algısı için de geçerlidir. Buna göre öğrencilerin dini yaşantı ve tutumları, Türkiye?ye geldikten sonra aldıkları eğitimin de etkisiyle olumlu yönde değişmiştir.

Foreign students? impressions and evaluations on Turkey are utmost importance in terms of Turkey image in the international arena. Based on this fact, Kayseri, Turkey and İslam perceptions of foreign students who study in Mustafa Germirli Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, located in Kocasinan district of Kayseri were inspected in this study. The purpose of this study is to determine foreign students? attitudes towards our country, Kayseri and Islam, thus to provide feedback to the decision-makers in order to enhance students? satisfaction. In this study, both quantitative and qualitative techniques were used in order to determine foreign students? perceptions. Survey was applied as a quantitative data gathering method and findings were interpreted statistically. Apart from the survey, interviews were made with the school administrators, school teachers and stakeholders so as to introduce research area to the readers and test the accuracy of the data collected. The data obtained from the interviews was presented to the readers after content and descriptive analysis had been made. As a result of the study, it was reached that foreign students studying in Mustafa Germirli High School had positive perceptions about Kayseri and Turkey. This is also valid for Islam perception. Accordingly, the religious attitudes of foreign students positively changed following their arrivals to Turkey thanks to the education they receive.
