Türkçenin Güney-Doğu (Karluk) grubuna bağlı bir lehçesi olan Özbek Türkçesi, bugün Özbekistan'ın resmî dili konumundadır. Çağatay Türkçesinin devamı niteliğinde gelişip şekillenen bu lehçe, 19. yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren Özbek Türklerinin konuşma ve yazı dili olarak kullanılmaya devam etmektedir. Bu yazı diliyle oluşturulan eserler ise Çağdaş Özbek edebiyatını oluşturmuştur. Özbek edebiyatı, 20. yüzyılın başından itibaren Türk dünyası için çok önemli eserlerin üretildiği bir edebiyat sahası olmuştur. 100 yıllık süreç içerisinde güneydoğu Türk lehçe geleneğini sürdüren ve böylece bu gelenek içerisindeki edebiyatı da tarihten günümüze taşıyan yazar ve şairler, Özbek Türkçesiyle çok değerli eserler kaleme almışlardır. Özbek edebiyatının önemli temsilcilerinden biri de Uçkun Nazarov'dur. 1934 yılında Taşkent'te doğan ve Taşkent Tiyatro ve Sanat Enstitüsünde yönetmenlik eğitimi alan Uçkun Nazarov, yönetmenlik mesleğiyle birlikte birçok edebî eser kaleme almış önemli bir yazardır. Nazarov, yenilikçi düşünceleriyle Özbekistan'daki bağımsızlık çalışmalarına da katılmış ve "cedit hareketi" içerisinde yer almıştır. Roman, öykü, senaryo vb. türde pek çok esere imza atan Nazarov'un bu çalışmanın da konusunu oluşturan Paymona ve Chayon Yili adlı romanları, Sovyet dönemi Özbekistan'ı hakkında verdiği önemli bilgiler nedeniyle Özbek edebiyatının önemli eserlerinden kabul edilmektedir. Özbek yazar Uçkun Nazarov'un Paymona ve Chayon Yili adlı romanlarındaki isimlerin incelendiği bu çalışma, "Giriş", "İnceleme" ve "Sonuç" olmak üzere üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde Özbekler ve Özbek Türkçesi ile ilgili genel bilgiler verilmiş, Özbek Türklerinin kullandığı Latin kökenli alfabe tablo hâlinde gösterilmiştir. İnceleme bölümünde isimler; anlamları, yapıları, kullanılış özellikleri, işlevleri ve türleri bakımından incelenmiştir. İsimlere eklenen yapım ve çekim eklerinin Özbek Türkçesindeki ses ve kullanılış özellikleri, cümle içindeki işlevleri örneklerle gösterilerek ayrıntılı bir incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur.
Uzbek Turkish, a dialect of Turkish belonging to the South-East (Karluk) group, is the official language of Uzbekistan today. This dialect, which developed and shaped as a continuation of Chagatai Turkish, continues to be used as the spoken and written language of Uzbek Turks since the end of the 19th century. The works created with this written language formed contemporary Uzbek literature. Since the beginning of the 20th century, Uzbek literature has been a field of literature where very important works have been produced for the Turkish world. Authors and poets, who continued the southeast Turkish dialect tradition over a 100-year period and thus carried the literature in this tradition from history to the present, wrote very valuable works in Uzbek Turkish. One of the important representatives of Uzbek literature is Uçkun Nazarov. Uçkun Nazarov who was born in Tashkent in 1934 and studied directing at the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute is an important writer who has written many literary works together with his directing profession. Nazarov, with his innovative thoughts, also participated in the independence efforts in Uzbekistan and took part in the "Jadid Movement". Novels, short stories, screenplays, etc. Nazarov's novels Paymona and Chayon Yili, which are also the subject of this study, are accepted as important works of Uzbek literature due to the important information they give about Uzbekistan in the Soviet period. This study, which examines the names in the novels of Uzbek writer Uçkun Nazarov named Paymona and Chayon Yili, consists of three parts: "Introduction", "Review" and "Conclusion". In the introduction, general information about the Uzbeks and Uzbek Turkish is given, and the Latin alphabet used by the Uzbek Turks is shown in a table. Names in the review section; were examined in terms of their meanings, structures, usage features, functions, and types. The sound and usage features of the construction and inflectional suffixes added to the nouns in Uzbek Turkish, and their functions in the sentence are shown with examples and subjected to a detailed examination.
