Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to evaluate the competencies of the employees who are active in the tourism industry and to identify the priority expectations of the managers regarding the employees. In the scope of the study, firstly, determination of employee competencies will be carried out from literature. Second stage of the study, in terms of the managers of the hospitality enterprises in Nevşehir, activities to be carried out in order to increase employee competencies will be revealed. In line with the information obtained, the current situation of employee competence in the region will be revealed and the activities to develop employee competencies will be ordered by degree of importance. The quality function deployment (QFD) method will be used in the study. QFD is a quality improvement method that can integrate the expectations of decision makers into developing processes. Incorporation of employees' expectations about employees into the developing process by the KFG method increases the importance of study.
