Tarih boyunca insanlığın devamlı olarak yeni şeyler keşfetme arzusu çeşitli turizm faaliyetlerinin ortaya çıkmasına zemin hazırlamıştır. Bütün dünyada turizm sektörünün göstermiş olduğu büyüme ile birlikte günümüzde turizm aktiviteleri ve turist motivasyonlarında büyük bir değişim meydana gelmiştir. Küresel rekabetin artması ile ortaya çıkan teknolojik, ekonomik ve siyasal değişimler turizme de farklı bir boyut kazandırmıştır. Turizmin gelişmesi hem ülke ekonomisini hem de yerel ekonomiyi canlandırması ve yaşam standartlarını artırması açısından önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bununla birlikte son yıllarda turistlerin de doğal ve kültürel mekanlara artan ilgisi turizm işletmeleri arasında rekabet ortamı oluşturmuştur. İşletmecilerin ürün çeşitlendirmeye yönelik çalışmaları, ulusal turizm örgütleri ve kamu yerel yönetimlerinin alternatif mekanlar oluşturma yönündeki planları "turizm rotoları" kavramını gündeme getirmiştir. Bu kapsamda ulusal ve uluslararası turizm faaliyetlerinde önemli bir konuma sahip olan Nevşehir ili çalışma alanı olarak belirlenmiştir. Coğrafi bilgi sistemleri yazılımlarından MapInfo Pro 2021.1, MapBasic 2021 tercih edilerek hazırlanan bu çalışmada Nevşehir Merkez İlçesi'nden çevre illere maksimum 3 saatlik mesafedeki turizm destinasyonları tespit edilmiştir. Günübirlik turistik geziler temel alındığı için maksimum varış süresi 3 saat olarak belirlenmiştir. 1, 2 ve 3 saatlik mesafede ulaşılabilen turizm destinasyonları belirli kategorilere ayırarak haritalandırılmıştır. Rotalar oluşturulurken yapılan yol matrisi analizinde ulaşım zamanını etkileyebilecek faktörlerden olan yolların türü (anayol, tali yol, otoyol, kavşak, şerit sayısı) ve maksimum hız limitleri, trafik durumları ve kavis durumları hesaba katılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonucunda hazırlanan haritalarda popüler olan turizm destinasyonlarının (Peribacaları, yer altı şehirleri, balon turu vb.) yanı sıra günübirlik gezilebilecek birçok turizm destinasyonun olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Analizler neticesinde, 20 farklı turizm çekicilik kategorisi kullanılarak 1, 2 ve 3 saatlik sürelerde ziyaret edilebilecek toplam 745 turizm destinasyonunun olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu süre zarfında toplam 15 il, 102 ilçeye ulaşım sağlanabilmektedir. En fazla destinasyonunun bulunduğu ilçeler içerisinde Nevşehir Merkez İlçesi'nde 46, Aksaray Merkez İlçesi'nde 44, Adana Seyhan İlçesi'nde 42 turizm mekânı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Throughout history, humanity's desire to constantly discover new things has paved the way for the emergence of various tourism activities. With the growth of the tourism sector all over the world, there has been a great change in tourism activities and tourist motivations. Technological, economic and political changes that emerged with the increase in global competition have brought a different dimension to tourism. The development of tourism plays an important role in stimulating both the country's economy and the local economy and increasing living standards. However, the increasing interest of tourists in natural and cultural places in recent years has created a competitive environment among tourism enterprises. The works of the operators for product diversification, the plans of national tourism organizations and public local administrations to create alternative venues have brought the concept of "tourism rotos" to the agenda. In this context, Nevşehir province, which has an important position in national and international tourism activities, has been determined as the study area. In this study, which was prepared by choosing MapInfo Pro 2021.1, MapBasic 2021, one of the geographic information systems software, tourism destinations with a maximum distance of 3 hours from Nevşehir Central District to the surrounding provinces were determined. Since it is based on daily touristic trips, the maximum arrival time is determined as 3 hours. Tourism destinations that can be reached in 1, 2 and 3 hours distance have been mapped by dividing them into certain categories. In the road matrix analysis made while creating the routes, the type of roads (main road, secondary road, highway, intersection, number of lanes) and maximum speed limits, traffic conditions and curve situations, which are factors that can affect the transportation time, were taken into account. As a result of the analyzes carried out, it has been revealed that there are many tourism destinations that can be visited on a daily basis, as well as popular tourism destinations (Fairy Chimneys, underground cities, balloon tour, etc.) on the maps prepared. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that there are 745 tourism destinations that can be visited in 1, 2 and 3 hours using 20 different tourism attractiveness categories. During this period, transportation can be provided to a total of 15 provinces and 102 districts. It has been concluded that among the districts with the highest number of destinations, there are 46 tourism venues in Nevşehir Central District, 44 tourism venues in Aksaray Central District, and 42 tourism venues in Adana Seyhan District.
