ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algılarını tespit etmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algılarını ortaya koymak amacıyla Fığlalı Taşkın (2008) tarafından geliştirilen Yurttaşlık Algısı Ölçeği uygulanmasına karar verilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacına yönelik olan ölçek 57 maddeden oluşan 5'li likert tipinde bir ölçektir. Hazırlanan ölçek 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Türkiye'de bulunan altı farklı devlet üniversitelerinin Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği programında öğrenim görmekte olan 910 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adayına uygulanarak alt boyutlar ve çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modelinde bir araştırma olup, araştırma verileri Fığlalı Taşkın (2008) tarafından geliştirilen "Yurttaşlık Algısı Ölçeği" ile toplanmıştır. Uygulanan ölçek sekiz alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Ölçekten elde edilen veriler istatistiksel paket programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yurttaşlığı haklar ve ödevler çerçevesinde değerlendiren ölçekte değişkenlerin anlamlı şekilde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığına bakmak amacıyla T testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (One way ANOVA) testleri uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan testlere normallik testi sonucunda karar verilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara bakıldığında, çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algılarının yüksek çıktığı, bununla birlikte yurttaşlık algılarının değişkenlere göre farklılık gösterebildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmaya göre adayların yurttaşlık algıları cinsiyet değişkenine göre çeşitli boyutlarda anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Ayrıca adayların yurttaşlık algıları anne öğrenim düzeyine göre incelendiğinde çeşitli boyutlarda anlamlı farklılık bulunurken baba öğrenim düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır. Bu bulgu baba öğrenim düzeyinin Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algıları üzerinde etkisinin olmadığı şeklinde de yorumlanabilir. Yine katılımcıların yurttaşlık algıları yaşadıkları yer değişkenine göre incelediğinde anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Başka bir ifadeyle, Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algıları yaşadıkları yere bağlı olarak anlamlı bir şekilde değişmemektedir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algıları sınıf düzeylerine bağlı olarak anlamlı bir şekilde değişmemektedir. Ulaşılan bu bulgu sınıf düzeyinin Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının yurttaşlık algıları üzerinde etkisinin olmadığı şeklinde de yorumlanabilir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarını genel olarak değerlendirmek gerekirse, öğretmen adaylarının üniversite eğitimlerinden, yetiştikleri ailelerinden ve içinden geldikleri çevreden yurttaşlık algıları adına yeterli düzeyde faydalandıklarını söylemek mümkündür. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to determine the citizenship perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates. For this purpose, it was decided to apply the Citizenship Perception Scale developed by Fığlalı Taşkın (2008) in order to reveal the citizenship perceptions of social studies teacher candidates. The aim of the study is a 5-point Likert-type scale consisting of 57 items. The scale was analyzed in terms of six different state universities who were studying in Social Studies Education program received 910 sizes and a variety of variables applied to social studies teachers in the 2018-2019 academic year spring semester Turkey. The research is a quantitative research model and the research data were collected with Citizenship Perception Scale developed by Fığlalı Taşkın (2008). The scale consists of eight sub-dimensions. The data obtained from the scale were analyzed using statistical package programs. T-test and one-way variance analysis (One-way ANOVA) tests were used to determine whether the variables differ significantly in the scale that evaluates citizenship within the framework of rights and duties. The tests were decided as a result of the normality test. When the results obtained from the study are examined, it is concluded that the citizenship perceptions of the Social Studies teacher candidates, which constitute the sample of the study, are high, however, the perceptions of citizenship may differ according to the variables. According to the research, candidates' perceptions of citizenship differ significantly in various dimensions according to gender variable. In addition, when the candidates' perceptions of citizenship were examined according to the mother's education level, there were significant differences in various dimensions, but no significant differences were found according to the father's education level. This finding can be interpreted as the effect of father's education level on the citizenship perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates. Again, when the participants' perceptions of citizenship were analyzed according to the place variable, no significant difference was found. In other words, the perception of citizenship of Social Studies teacher candidates does not change significantly depending on where they live. According to the results of the study, the citizenship perceptions of the Social Studies teacher candidates do not change significantly depending on their class levels. This finding can be interpreted as the effect of class level on the citizenship perceptions of the Social Studies teacher candidates. In general, it is possible to say that the prospective teachers benefited from university education, their families and the environment in which they came from.
