Festivaller, insanların önceden planlanmış belirli gün ve saatlerde, belirli bir amacı
gerçekleştirmek veya kutlama yapmak için çeşitli aktiviteleri deneyimlediği, eğlendiği ve
çeşitli sosyal çevrelerle iletişim kurduğu etkinliklerdir. Gastronomi festivalleri, bir
destinasyonun yöresel yiyeceklerinin sürdürülebilirliğini sağlamak amacıyla yılın belirli
dönemlerinde gerçekleştirilen ve yöresel yemek deneyimlerinin yapıldığı etkinliklerdir.
Yemek imajı, yemek deneyimleri sonucunda oluşan imajdır. Destinasyon imajı ise bir
destinasyonda yapılan tüm deneyimlere yönelik oluşan imajdır. Hatay ili sahip olduğu

düzenlendiği aynı zamanda yemek imajını evrensel olarak tanıtmayı başarmış bir
destinasyondur.

local food experiences are made. Food image is the image formed as a result of food
experiences. Destination image, on the other hand, is the image formed by all experiences
in a destination. Due to its rich food heritage, the province of Hatay is a destination where
many national and international gastronomy festivals are held, and at the same time, it has
managed to promote its food image universally.
