Kur’an’ın başka bir lisana tercüme edilmesi şüphesiz son derece önemli bir faaliyettir. Ancak Kur’an’ın tercümesi kadar önemli diğer bir husus
onun nasıl tercüme edileceğidir. Çeviri yapılırken hangi yöntemin kullanıldığı, çeviri usulüne göre tercümenin yapılıp yapılmadığı önem arzetmektedir. Ülkemizde Kur’an-ı Kerim’i tercüme faaliyeti aktif bir şekilde işlemektedir. Bunun neticesinde pek çok meal telif edilmiştir. Ancak Kur’an
gibi i’câz yönü bulunan bir kitabın başka bir dile aktarımı elbette kolay
değildir. Meallerde çeviri usullerine ilişkin bazı ilkelerin dikkate alınmaması sebebiyle bazı hata ve yanlışlıklarla karşılaşılmaktadır. Kur’an’ın Türkçe Tercümeleri isimli eser, tercüme ile ilgili sorunlara vurgu yapmakta ve bu
hususu iki Kur’an tercümesi üzerinden değerlendirmektedir.
