dc.description.abstract In this paper, an energy management system (EMS) is designed to ensure the energy stability of an AC/DC microgrid containing renewable energy sources (RES) and battery. This EMS regulates the operation of the microgrid according to the operating mode selected by the users and the power generation status of RES. The main purpose of microgrid control is to provide continuous energy to critical loads and to obtain maximum efficiency from RES. Therefore, while RES are constantly operating in maximum power mode, the balance of generation and consumption is provided by the battery. When the battery is insufficient, the microgrid is connected to the main grid or dump loads are used. The designed EMS has been tested in Matlab/Simulink program. The results show that the EMS provides the necessary stability for the microgrid. tr_TR
