Çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel iletişimin örgütsel sessizlik üzerindeki etkisini belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2019 yılında Kırıkkale Organize Sanayi Bölgesinde çalışan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden çalışanlar oluşturmaktadır (Örneklem çapı n=507). Veri toplama yöntemi olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Anket formu örgütsel iletişim ölçeği, örgütsel sessizlik ölçeği ve demografik özellikler bölümlerini içermektedir. Örgütsel iletişimin örgütsel sessizliğe olan etkisini belirlemek amacı ile çok değişkenli regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Değişken indirgemede keşfedici faktör analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda örgütsel iletişimin örgütsel sessizliğe anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Keşfedici faktör analizi sonucunda belirlenen faktörlerden dikey-güvenli iletişim, yatay-nüfuz iletişim, güven-memnuniyet iletişimi, yatay-doğruluk iletişimi faktörlerinin kabullenici-korunma amaçlı sessizliğe anlamlı etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Doğru-memnuniyet iletişimi, güven-memnuniyet iletişimi, iletişimde kullanılan kanalların doğruluğu ve güven-nüfuz iletişim faktörlerinin koruma amaçlı sessizliğe anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bazı kısıtlılıkları olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında örgütlere ve örgüt çalışanlarına hem örgütsel iletişim hem de örgütsel sessizlik ile ilgili gelecekte çalışmalarda bulunacak araştırmacılara birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of organizational communication on organizational silence. The sample of the study consists of employees working in Kırıkkale Organized Industrial Zone in the year of 2019 and who agreed to participate in the study (sample size n=507). The questionnaire survey research method was used as data collection method. The questionnaire included organizational communication scale, organizational silence scale and demographic characteristics. Multivariate regression analysis was used to determine the effect of organizational communication on organizational silence. In variable reduction exploratory factor analysis was used. According to the research results it was found that organizational communication has a significant effect on organizational silence. Vertical-secure communication, horizontal-penetration communication, trust-satisfaction communication, and horizontal-accuracy communication factors which are identified as a result of exploratory factor analysis had a significant effect on acquiescence-defensive silence. Among the factors determined as a result of exploratory factor analysis, correct-satisfaction communication, trust-satisfaction communication, accuracy of channels used in communication and trust-penetration communication factors have been found to have a significant effect on protective silence. It was emphasized that the study had some limitations. Within the scope of the study, some suggestions were made to the researchers who will make future studies on both organizational communication and organizational silence.
