Alternatif bir turizm türü olarak kış turizmi ve Türkiye için önemi

Abstract

Kitle turizmine olan talebin zamanla değişmesi ve bireylerin farklı arayışlara girmesi ile alternatif turizm türleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Alternatif turizm türleri içinde kış turizmi son yıllarda öne çıkan turizm faaliyetlerinden biridir. Özellikle bol kar yağışının olduğu dağlık bölgeler kış turizmi faaliyetleri yapmak için uygun destinasyonlardır. Alternatif bir turizm türü olan kış turizmi kayak sporu merkezinde bulunan karlı ve eğimli alanlara yapılan seyahatlerin yanı sıra konaklamayla beraber diğer hizmetlerin de yer aldığı faaliyet ve ilişkilerin bütünüdür. Türkiye coğrafi yapısı gereği kış turizmi potansiyeli yüksek bir destinasyondur ancak bu potansiyelin yeterince değerlendirilemediği görülmektedir. Bununla birlikte Türkiye’de aktif hizmet veren kış turizmi merkezleri ve kış turizmine uygun olup da kullanılamayan merkezler ele alındığında da potansiyelin yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Kış turizmi potansiyelinin yüksek olması Türkiye’yi rekabette avantajlı hale getirmektedir. Turizmin mevsimsellik özelliğinin etkisinin en aza indirilmesi için de kış turizmine önem verilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’deki kış turizmi potansiyelini ele alarak, kış turizminin Türkiye için önemini ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma ile kış turizminin Türkiye için önemi ortaya konularak geliştirilmesi için yapılması gerekenler belirtilmiştir.
