Bu çalışmada Almancada ve Türkçede “açlık” sözcüğüyle söylenmiş atasözleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırma için örnekler
Türkçede Ömer Asım Aksoy’un “Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü 1” kitabından, Almanca örnekler ise Karl Simrock’un “Die
Deutschen Sprichwörter” adlı kitabından ve Wilhelm Körte’nin “Die Sprichwörter und sprichwörtlichen Redensarten der
Deutschen” adlı kitabından alınmıştır. Çalışma dört aşamadan oluşmaktadır. İlk aşamada Türkçede ve Almancada açlık
sözcüğüyle söylenmiş atasözlerinden önce Türkçede geçen atasözleri daha sonra Almancada geçen atasözleri liste halinde
verilmiştir. Atasözlerinin sonunda yer alan parantez içindeki sayılar, o atasözünün yazarın eserinde kaçıncı sırada olduğunu
göstermektedir. Sonraki aşamada Almancada ve Türkçede “açlık” sözcüğüyle ilgili atasözleri karşılaştırmalı olarak ayrı ayrı
tablolar içinde verilmiştir. Tablolar beş sütundan oluşmaktadır. Birinci sütunda verilen atasözünün sıra numarası, ikinci
sütunda atasözünün orijinali (kaynak dili), üçüncü sütunda çevirisi, dördüncü sütunda varsa eşdeğer veya yakın anlamda
atasözü ve beşinci sütunda eşdeğeri yoksa “x” işareti ile gösterilmiştir. Üçüncü aşamada Türkçede ve Almancada açlık
sözcüğüyle söylenmiş atasözleri anlam ve biçim yönünden her iki dildeki benzer ve farklı yönleri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca
atasözleri biçimsel olarak sözcük türü açısından da incelenmiştir. (İsim, sıfat veya zarf olarak kullanılan sözcükler).
Atasözlerinde geçen hayvan adlarının belirtilmesi ve kullanım frekansı gibi ölçütler ele alınmıştır. Son aşamada ise
atasözlerinin yabancı dil öğretiminde kullanılmasına yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
In this study, proverbs uttered with the word "hunger" in German and Turkish have been compared. Examples for this
comparison have been taken from the book "Proverbs and Idioms Dictionary 1" by Ömer Asım Aksoy in Turkish, and from "Die
Deutschen Sprichwörter" by Karl Simrock and "Die Sprichwörter und sprichwörtlichen Redensarten der Deutschen" byWilhelm
Körte in German. The study consists of four stages. In the first stage, proverbs that have been spoken in Turkish and German
with the word hunger have been listed, first the proverbs in Turkish and then the proverbs in German. The numbers in
parentheses at the end of the proverbs show the rank of that proverb in the author's work. In the next stage, proverbs about the
word "hunger" in German and Turkish are comparatively given in separate tables. Tables consist of five columns. The sequence
number of the proverb is given in the first column, the original (source language) of the proverb in the second column, the
translation in the third column, and the proverb in an equivalent or close meaning, if any, is given in the fourth column, and in
the fifth column, if there is no equivalent, it is indicated with an "x" sign. In the third stage, the proverbs that are used with the
word hunger in Turkish and German have been discussed in terms of meaning and form concerning languages. In addition,
proverbs have been examined formally in terms of word type. (words used as nouns, adjectives or adverbs). Criteria such as
specifying animal names in proverbs and frequency of use have been examined. At the last stage, suggestions for the use of
proverbs in foreign language teaching have been made.
