Destek eğitim odaları, kaynaştırma eğitimi kapsamında, özel gereksinimli öğrencilerin kendilerine sunulan eğitim hizmetinden en üst düzeyde yararlanmalarını sağlamak amacıyla, özel araç-gereçler ve materyaller sağlanarak oluşturulan ortamlardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı destek eğitim odalarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin destek eğitim
odalarına ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmaya Ankara’nın Altındağ, Keçiören ve Yenimahalle
ilçelerindeki okulların destek eğitim odalarında görev yapan 18 öğretmen katılmıştır. Nitel yöntemin kullanıldığı çalışmada, veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sorularıyla toplanmış, tümevarım yöntemi kullanılarak içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları destek eğitim odalarının işlevsel olmadığını, destek eğitim
odaları için okulların yeterli fiziki koşullara sahip olmadığını, destek eğitim odalarında yürütülen eğitim hizmetlerinin planlanmasında mevzuat dışı farklı uygulamaların olduğunu, okul yönetimlerinin destek eğitim odalarında yürütülen çalışmalara destek verdiğini göstermiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular alanyazındaki çalışmalar esas alınarak tartışılmıştır.
Resource rooms refer to settings created through special tools and materials with the aim of assisting the children with special needs to benefit from the education services provided to them at the highest level within the scope of inclusive educationThe aim of this study is to determine the views of the teachers who work in the resource rooms.
Eighteen teachers who work in the resource rooms of the schools in Altındağ, Keçiören and Yenimahalle districts of Ankara participated in the study. In the study, qualitative method was used, and the data were collected through semi-structured interview questions and analyzed by content analysis technique by using inductive approach. The
findings of the research show that the resorce rooms are not functional, that the schools do not have sufficient physical conditions for the resource rooms, there are different practices in the planning of the training services carried out in the resource rooms, and that the school administration support the studies carried out in the resource rooms.
