Meşrutiyet'ten Cumhuriyet'e eğitim: 1876-1923

Abstract

Bu arastırmada, I. Mesrutiyet'ten Cumhuriyet'in ilanına kadar olan Türk egitimsistemi konusu incelenmistir. Birinci Mesrutiyet Dönemi'nden 1923'e kadar geçen süredeegitim alanında önemli gelismeler olmus, Cumhuriyet Dönemi egitim sisteminin temelleriatılmıstır.Tanzimat yıllarında egitim çalısmalarının büyük çogunlugunun stanbul ile sınırlıkaldıgı düsünülecek olursa, II. Abdülhamid döneminde egitim hizmetlerinin stanbul dısınaçıkması ve bu hizmetlerin tasraya da ulastırılması ile önemli mesafeler kaydedilmistir.Tanzimat Dönemi'nde Egitim alanında atılan temeller, II. Abdülhamid Dönemi'nde uygulamave yayılma imkânı bulmustur. II. Abdülhamid Dönemi'nde egitim hizmetlerinde nicelikaçısından görülen olumlu gelismenin, nitelik açısından ise aynı düzeyde olup olmadıgıtartısılabilir. Bu dönem boyunca yabancı ve azınlık okulları, meslek ve sanat okulları sayısıoldukça artmıstır. II. Mesrutiyet'ten Cumhuriyet'e kadar olan dönemde, egitim kurumları veprogramlarında yenilik yapılması bakımından önemli gelismeler olmustur. Cumhuriyet'ikuran nesil, bu okullarda yetismis, Cumhuriyet'in temelleri bu dönemde atılmıstır.Cumhuriyet Devri ise, Türk egitim sisteminde yüzyıllar boyunca çagdas egitimsistemine ulasmak için yapılan çabaların gerçeklesmesini saglayan bir dönem olmustur.Öncelikle Milli Egitim Bakanlıgı kurulmus ve egitim sistemindeki ikilige son vermek içinTevhid-i Tedrisat Kanunu çıkarılmıstır. Böylece Osmanlı Devleti'nde Cumhuriyet'edevredilen egitim kurumları ve sistemi modern bir yapıya kavusmustur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Türk Egitim Sistemi, II. In this research, the subject matter of Turkish Educational System from The firstConstitutional Monarchy to the proclamation of the Republic has been analysed.In the period of the first Constitutional Monarchy, substantial developments in thefield of education took place until 1923, foundations of educational system in the era ofrepublic was laid. If we think that most of the studies about education in the time ofadministrative reforms were limited to stanbul, In the period of Abdulhamid, the serviceofeducation reached outside of stanbul and significant progress was made towardseducational service to be reached to the provinces too.The foundations laid in the field of education in the period of Administrative Reformswere spreaded and carried out in the period of Abdulhamid. It is debatable whether in theperiod of Abdulhamid, the positive progress seen in the educational services in terms ofquantitative was so effective in terms of qualification or not. During this period, foreign andminority schools, vocational and art schools increased considerably. From the period of II.Constitutional Monarchy to the Republic, very important developments came into existence inthe educational institutions and their educational programmes in terms of innovation. Thegeneration who proclaimed the republic received education in these schools, and foundationsof the republic were laid in this period. As for the Republican Era, it was an era whichenabled the efforts made for centuries to reach contemporary educational system to come true.Initially, Ministry of Education was established and the Act of Tevhid-i Tedrisat to make anend of duality in the educational system was passed. As a result, in the Ottoman Empire, theeducational system and institutions which were assigned to the Republic era reached itsmodern structureKey Words: Turkish Education System, II.
