Abstract

Türkler yeryüzünde birçok devlet kuran milletlerden birisidir. Devlet kurmak insanlar arasında huzur ve güvenliği oluşturmak, hukuk nizamı tesis etmek demektir. Türk soyundan geldikleri tarihî delillerle sabit olan, milattan önceki Asya Hun Devletinden çağımıza kadar Türklerin vücuda getirdikleri siyasi teşekküllerin sayısı kesin olarak bilinmemekle beraber oldukça fazla olduğu söylenmektedir. Tarih boyunca Türkler, geniş coğrafyalarda güçlü devletler kurmuşlardır. Bunun gerçekleşmesinin elbette pek çok nedeni vardır ama şu ana kadar yaptığımız araştırmalara göre en büyük pay Türk ordusuna ayrılmalıdır. Türk ordusu yapı itibariyle muazzam bir teşkilat sistemine ve nizama sahiptir. Türk toplum yapısının ve devlet geleneğinin anlaşılabilmesi için mutlaka Türklerde ordu anlayışın incelenmesi gerekir. Ordu, Türk devletinde milletin nefesi sayılabilecek kadar önemli bir yere sahiptir. Türk devlet geleneği gibi askeri teşkilatımızın da kesintisiz devam ettiği muhakkaktır. Ayrıca Ordu-Millet anlayışına sahip Türk kültüründe ordu algılayışı ve ordunun toplumdaki yeri diğer milletlerden daha farklı bir konumdadır. Bu nedenle Türk ordusunu incelemek büyük bir önem arz etmektedir. Her Türk ordunun bir ferdi olarak görülmektedir. Türk ordusu, Türk milletiyle eş değer olduğuna göre onun tarihi de Türk milleti kadar eskidir. Konar-göçer kültüre sahip olan Türklerin sürekli hareket halinde olması, Türk tarihini takip etmemizi zorlaştırmaktadır. Bu nedenle Türk tarihini takip edebilmemiz için birçok farklı kaynaktan yararlanmamız gerekmektedir. Bunlardan en önemlisi de Bizans devletinin kaynaklarıdır. Bizans kronikleri bizlere dönemin olaylarıyla alakalı bilgiler vermekle beraber Türk askeri yapısıyla alakalı da ayrıntılar sunmaktadır. Bizde ''V. - XIII. Yüzyıllar Arası Bizans Kroniklerine Göre Türk Topluluklarında Askeri Yapı'' isimli çalışmamızla Bizans kaynaklarında bahsedilen Türk askeri yapısını incelemeye çalıştık.

Turks are most of the nations that have established the most states on earth. Establishing a state means creating peace and security among people and establishing a legal order. It is said that the number of political formations brought into being by the Turks from the Asian Hun State before Christ to our age, which is proven by historical evidence, is quite high, although the exact number of political formations is not known. Throughout history, Turks have established powerful states in large geographies. Of course, there are many reasons for this to happen, but according to the research we have done so far, the biggest share should be allocated to the Turkish army. The Turkish army has an enormous organizational system and order. In order to understand the Turkish social structure and state tradition, it is absolutely necessary to examine the understanding of the Turkish army. The army has an important place in the Turkish state, which can be considered as the breath of the nation. It is certain that, like the Turkish state tradition, our military organization continues uninterruptedly. In addition, the perception of the army and the place of the army in society in Turkish culture, which has an understanding of Army-Nation, is in a different position than other nations. For this reason, it is of great importance to examine the Turkish army. Every Turk is seen as a member of the army. Since the Turkish army is equivalent to the Turkish nation, its history is as old as the Turkish nation. The constant movement of the Turks, who have a nomadic culture, makes it difficult for us to follow Turkish history. For this reason, we need to benefit from many different sources in order to follow Turkish history. The most important of these are the resources of the Byzantine state. Byzantine chronicles give us information about the events of the period, as well as details about the Turkish military structure. We tried to analyze the Turkish military structure mentioned in Byzantine sources with our thesis named '' Military Structure in Turkish Communities According to Byzantine Chronics Between V. - XIII. Centuries ''
