Bu çalışma başlangıç itibariyle ortalama 20µm B4C partiküllerinin planetary tipi öğütücü ile nano boyutlu partiküllere indirilmesiyle başlanmıştır. Daha sonra öğütülen bu nano boyutlu toz partikülleri toz Etial 141 alaşımıyla aynı öğütücü tipiyle toz metalürjisinin üretim yöntemlerinden biri olan mekanik alaşımlama yöntemiyle öğütülmüştür. Bu öğütme esnasında alüminyum alaşımının içerisine %3, %5, %10, %15, %20 oranlarında B4C nano partikülleri ilave edilmiştir. Bu işlem her ilavede 3 saat boyunca gerçekleştirilmiştir. Mekanik alaşımlama işleminde Etial 141 alaşımıyla bağ oluşturan nano B4C partikülleri 540 ̊C altında sıcaklıkla sıcak presle sıkıştırıldıktan sonra nano B4C katkılı kompozit malzeme numuneleri üretilmiştir. Sıcak preste 350 MPa yük uygulanmıştır. Üretimden sonra kompozit malzemelerin fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri optik mikroskop, SEM (Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu) ve XRD(X Işınları Kırınımı) cihazlarıyla incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemede nano partiküllerin alüminyum alaşımı tozların içerisinde homojen bir şekilde dağıldığı gözlemlenmiştir. Üretilen kompozit malzemelerin sertliklerine sertlik ölçme cihazında bakılmıştır. Tozların sertlikleri artan takviye malzemesiyle artmıştır. Malzemelerin mikro yapı özelliklerinin incelenmesi SEM cihazıyla, mekanik özelliklerini belirlemek için ise çekme ve sertlik deneyleri yapılmıştır. Netice itibariyle üretilen kompozit malzemelerinin çekme ve sertlik değerleri ilave edilen takviye malzemesinin miktarıyla değişmiştir.
This work was initiated at the start by lowering to nano-sized particles from the average 20μm B4C particles by a planetary type mill. These nano-sized powder particles, which are then milled, are milled by the mechanical alloying method, which is one of the methods of manufacturing powder metallurgy with the same mill type of powdered Etial 141 alloy. During this grinding, 3%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% B4C nanoparticles were added into the aluminum alloy. This process was carried out for 3 hours for each addition. In the mechanical alloying process, the nano B4C particles forming the bond with the alloy of Etial 141 were compacted by hot pressing under a temperature of 540 ̊C and then samples of nano B4C doped composite material were produced. 350 MPa load applied in hot press. Physical and chemical properties of composite materials after production were investigated with optical microscope, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) devices. It was observed that the nanoparticles were homogeneously dispersed in the aluminum alloy powders. The hardness of the produced composite materials was examined in the hardness measuring device. The hardness of the powders is increased by the reinforcing material. The microstructural properties of the materials were examined by SEM device and the tensile and hardness tests were carried out to determine the mechanical properties. As a result, the tensile and stiffness values of the composite materials produced are varied by the amount of reinforcement material added.
