Türkşeker firmalarında critic ve eatwios yöntemiyle verimlilik analizi

Abstract

Şeker sektörü, ekonomik ve sosyal etkileri sebebiyle tüm ülkeler için stratejik bir öneme sahiptir. Bu sektörde sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanması ve rekabet edilebilirliğin artırılması için verimlilik ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı; 2002-2019 yılları arasında Türkiye’deki 25 kamu şeker fabrikasının girdi ve çıktılarının önem düzeylerini belirlemek ve belirlenen önem derecelerine göre firmaların verimlilik düzeylerini kıyaslamaktır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için öncelikle Critic yöntemi ile girdi ve çıktı ağırlıkları, ardından Eatwios yöntemiyle fabrikaların verimlilikleri hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, yakıt tüketimi önem düzeyi en yüksek girdi iken, şeker üretimi ise önem düzeyi en yüksek çıktıdır. Verimlilik analizine göre; en verimli fabrikalar Ereğli ve Eskişehir iken, en verimsiz fabrikalar ise Kars ve Alpullu’dur.

The sugar industry has a strategic importance for all countries due to its economic and social effects. In this sector, efficiency comes to the fore in order to ensure sustainability and increase competitiveness. In this context, the purpose of the study are to determine the severity levels of inputs and outputs of the 25 public sugar factories in Turkey between the years 2002-2019 and to compare the efficiency levels of the companies according to the severity ratings. In order to achieve this goal, the input and output weights were calculated with the Critic method first and then the efficiency of the factories was calculated with the Eatwios method. According to the findings, while fuel consumption is the most important input, sugar production is the highest the most inefficient ones are Kars and Alpullu.
