Tübitak çocuk kitaplarının çocuk edebiyatı yönünden incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, TÜBİTAK (Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu) tarafından yayımlanan 6 – 12 yaş grubunda yer alan kitapların, çocuk edebiyatı yönünden incelenmesi ve çocuk edebiyatına uygunluğunu ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla TÜBİTAK Çocuk Kitapları arasında 6 – 12 yaş grubunda yer alan 215 çocuk kitabından, farklı konularda olmasına dikkat edilerek 37 hikâye edici ve 38 bilgi verici anlatım türünde, rast gele seçilen 75 kitap araştırmaya konu edilmiştir. Araştırmada var olan bir durumu ortaya koymak amaçlandığı için betimsel araştırma yöntemi ve tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. TÜBİTAK tarafından yayımlanan 6 – 12 yaş grubunda yer alan 215 kitap bu araştırmanın evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Evren içerisinden, hikâye edici ve bilgi verici anlatım türünde, farklı konularda olmasına dikkat edilerek rast gele seçilen 75 kitap örneklem olarak alınmıştır. Araştırma, 75 kitapla sınırlandırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ilgili başlıklar çerçevesinde verilmiştir. Belirlenen kitaplar; “görsel (biçimsel – dış yapı) özellikleri, dil ve anlatım özellikleri, içerik özellikleri” bakımından incelenmiştir. İnceleme sonucunda; 75 kitabın tamamı, üç temel kriterin tamamı yönünden yeterli bulunmamıştır. 62 kitap (%92, n= 75) görsel özellikler, 49 kitap (%65, n=75) dil ve anlatım özellikleri, 9 kitap (%24, n=37) hikâye edici metinler içerik özellikleri, 19 kitap (%50, n=38) bilgilendirici metinler içerik özellikleri bakımından kısmen yeterli görülmüştür.

This study aims to examine the books published by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) for children in the age of 6-12 years in terms of children's literature and determine their suitability for children's literature. For this purpose, 75 books on different subjects, randomly selected among 215 children's books published by TUBITAK for the 6-12 age group, were included in the study. Also, 37 of these books are narrative, and 38 of them are informative. Since an existing situation will be revealed, descriptive research method and survey model were used in the study. 215 Children's Books published by TUBITAK for the 6-12 age group is the universe of this research. The 75 randomly selected books in narrative and informative type are the samples of the study. The research is limited to 75 books. Findings obtained are given within the framework of related headings. The books identified were examined in terms of visual (formal - external structure), language and expression, and content features. As a result of the review, 75 books were not sufficient, taking into account all three main criteria. However, 62 books (92%, n = 75) visual features, 49 books (65%, n = 75) language and expression characteristics, 9 books (24%, n = 37) narrative texts content features, 19 books (50%, n = 38) informative texts were considered partially sufficient in terms of content features.
