Türkmen masallarında aile motifleri üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Sözlü halk edebiyatı ürünleri içerisinde taşıdığı zengin malzeme itibariyle önemli bir yere sahip olan masallar, ait oldukları milletin maddi manevi kültürel değerlerini, gelenek, görenek ve inanç sistemini, millî kodlarını, hayat felsefesini yansıtan anonim ürünlerdir. Masallar, parçalanamayan en küçük yapı taşı olarak kabul edilen motiflerin birleşimiyle meydana gelip gelenek içerisinde yüzyıllardır farklı kültür ve coğrafyalarda yayılım göstererek varlığını sürdürür. Beslendiği kaynaktan etkileşim esnasında toplumların kendine özgü değerler sistemine, yapısına yönelik izleri üzerinde taşıyıp kültür aktarımında rol oynar. Bu çalışmada, toplumların çekirdeği sayılan aile kavramının masallara yansımasını değerlendirmek amacıyla temanın en belirgin örneklerinin görüldüğü realist ve sihirli masallardan seçip tarafımızca Türkiye Türkçesine aktarılan 70 Türkmen masalında aile motiflerinin incelemesi yapılmıştır. Ele aldığımız masal metinleri, Stith Thompson‘un Motif Index of Folk-Literature adlı kataloğu esasında incelenmiştir. Bu esnada takip ettiğimiz ve uyguladığımız yöntem çerçevesinde tespit ettiğimiz motifler, masal üzerinde ve masal sonunda gösterilmiştir. Aile motif dizini başlığı altında da motif dökümü verilerek masallarda işaretlenen aile motiflerinin listesi sunulmuştur. Ayrıca motif incelemesinin yanı sıra Türkmen masallarındaki aile yapısı üzerine yaptığımız genel değerlendirmeye göre aile bireylerinin ön plana çıkan karakteristik özellikleri, birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerine yönelik tespitlerimiz verilmiştir. Aile içerisinde babanın varlığı durumunda en etkili unsur olduğu, annenin alınacak kararlarda kendisine danışılan ancak babaya nazaran daha arka planda tutulduğu, eş rolünde iken olumlu ilişkilerin yanı sıra kimi zaman iftiraya maruz kalıp çeşitli sınavlardan geçtiği; babanın olmadığı durumlarda anne rolündeki kadının ailede etkili unsur hâline geldiği görülmüştür. Çocuk tipinin ise ailenin, soyun devam ettiricisi olması yönüyle önemli bir yerde konumlandığı ve cinsiyet bağlamında çocuğa karşı farklı bakış açılarının olduğu da saptanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda aile ile ilgili 747 motif tespit edilmiş, bu motiflerin 522 tanesi indekste bulunamayıp tarafımızca eklenmiştir ve sonuç bölümünde bu motiflerin sayısal verileri tematik başlıklar altında belirtilmiştir. Türkmen masallarında motif merkezli yaptığımız inceleme sonucunda indekste bulunan motiflere ilave olarak tespit ettiğimiz aile ile ilgili motiflerle, dünya genelinde halkbilimi alanında yaygın kullanıma sahip olan Motif Index of Folk-Literature‘ye katkı sağlamaya çalışılmıştır.

Having an important place in oral folk literature products due to its rich materials, tales are anonymous products that reflect the material and spiritual cultural values, traditions, customs and belief system, national codes and philosophy of life of the nation they belong to. Fairy tales are formed by the combination of motifs, which are considered the smallest building blocks that cannot be broken down, and have survived for centuries in the tradition by being spread in different cultures and geographies. It plays a role in the transfer of culture by carrying the traces of the society‘s unique values system and structure during the interaction from the source it feeds on. In this study, an analysis of family motifs in 70 Turkmen tales selected from realistic and magic tales in which the most distinct examples of the theme are seen and translated into Turkish by us was carried out in order to evaluate the reflection of the notion of family, considered the basis of a society, on tales. The discussed texts of tales were analyzed on the basis of the catalog of Stith Thompson called Motif Index of Folk-Literature. In the meantime, the motifs we identified within the framework of the method we followed and applied were shown on tales and at the end of tales. In addition, a list of family motifs marked in tales is presented under the title of family motif index. In addition to the analysis of motifs, characteristics of family members and our evaluations related to their relations with each other in regard to the general evaluation we made on the family structure in Turkmen tales are given. It was observed that the father is the most effective element if there is a father in the family, that the mother is consulted about the decisions to be taken but is kept in the background compared to the father, and that in addition to having positive relationships while being in the role of spouse, she is subjected to malicious prosecution and passes various exams; and in the absence of a father, it was observed that the woman in the role of mother becomes an effective element in the family. It was also determined that the character of child is placed in an important position in the family in terms of being the continuation of the lineage, and that there are different perspectives on the child in the context of gender. As a result of the study, 747 motifs related to family were identified; 522 of these motifs could not be found in the index and they were added by us, and in the conclusion part, numerical data of these motifs are indicated under thematic titles. As a result of our analysis based on motifs in Turkmen tales, we attempted to contribute to the Motif Index of Folk-Literature, which is widely used in the field of folklore worldwide, with the family-related motifs we identified in addition to the motifs in the index.
