Turizm alanında eğitim alan öğrencilerin staj sorunlarının değerlendirilmesine yönelik bir araştırma,

Abstract

Turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin, turizm sektöründe çalışmadıkları ya da sektörde çalışmaya başladıktan belli bir süre sonra turizm sektöründen ayrıldıkları yapılan çalışmalarda ortaya konmuştur. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin okulda gördükleri dersleri uygulama olanağı buldukları staj onların mesleğe bakış açılarını değiştireceği için önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin staj süresi boyunca karşılaştıkları sorunları belirlemek ve bu sorunların çözümüne ilişkin önerilerde bulunmaktır. Ayrıca, araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin staj yaptıkları işletmeden memnun olma düzeyleri, staj yapmanın mesleklerine yapmış olduğu katkı, staj ortamında sunulan imkanlardan (ücret, lojman, vb.) memnun olma düzeyleri tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak anket formundan faydalanılmıştır. Literatür taraması sonucunda oluşturulan anket formu Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi’nce okuyan öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencileri stajdan genel olarak memnun olduğu ancak ücret, çalışma saatleri gibi konularda mennun olmadıkları görülmektedir.

The studies carried out by the researchers demonstrated that students taking tourism education did not prefer to work in the tourism sector or they left the sector after working for a length of time. For this reason, internship that students practise the courses learned at the school is of great importance for students to enable them to change their point of views. The purpose of this paper is to determine the problems that students faced and to make suggestions about the problems. Additionally, the results of the study inferred the satisfaction level of the students they worked in the sector, the internship’s contribution to their profession, the facilities (salary, housing, etc.) they benefited from. Questionnaires were administered as a data collection method. The sampling consists of Tourism Faculty students in Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. The study results indicated that the students were in general content with the internship but not satisfied with some issues such as student fees, working hours.
