Çağatay Türkçesinde tasvir fiilleri

Abstract

Tasvir fiilleri, iki ayrı fiilden oluşmuş birleşik yapılarda birinci fiildeki oluş ve kılışı türlü yönlerden tanımlayan, tasvir eden fiillerdir. Bu yolla kurulan birleşik fiillerde asıl anlam zarf-fiil yapısındaki birinci fiil üzerindedir. İkinci fiil ise gerçek anlamından uzaklaşarak esas fiildeki oluş ve kılışı tasvir eden yardımcı fiil durumuna gelmiştir. Bu şekilde bir esas fiil ile bir tasvir fiilinden oluşan ve Türk dilinin her döneminde görülen birleşik yapılar, dilimizin anlam inceliklerinin ortaya konulmasında önemli rol üstlenmektedir. Bu noktada eldeki çalışma, Çağatay Türkçesindeki tasvir fiillerinin kullanım özelliklerini ve işlevlerini tespit etmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.

Descriptive verbs in Turkish are the second verb of the compound verbs which describes or defines various actions or states of the first verb. In such compound verbs, the actual meaning lies on the first verb which is a gerund. The second verb loses its primary meaning and turns into an auxiliary verb helping describe the action or state of the main verb. The compound structures which are formed with one main and one descriptive verb and seen in every phase of the Turkish language play a significant role in presenting the delicacies of meaning in our language. In this respect, the present study aims to define the features and functions of descriptive verbs in Chagatai Turkish.
