dc.description.abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between leader behavioral integrity and job burnout and the moderating effect of follower’s political skill on that relationship. Data were collected from 6 state universities in Turkey. The sample included 593 faculty members along with their faculty deans. The data obtained from the questionnaires was analyzed through the SPSS statistical packaged software. Moderated hierarchical regression was used to examine the moderating role of political skill on the leader behavioral integrity and follower burnout relationship. The results show that leader behavioral integrity is negatively and significantly correlated with faculty members’ job burnout. In addition, the result of the hierarchical multiple regression analysis supports the moderating effect of follower’s political skill with regard to the relationship between leader behavioral integrity and job burnout. |
