Teknolojik ve sosyo-mekansal dönüşüm: Türkiye'de akıllı fabrikalar

Abstract

Üretim alanında yaşanan teknolojik gelişmeler geçmişten günümüze sosyal ve ekonomik hayatı da derinden etkilemiştir. Dördüncü endüstri devrimi de bu bağlamda bugünümüzü ve yarınımızı yadsınamaz bir şekilde değiştirmektedir. Endüstri 4.0 kavramı, ilk kez 2011 yılında Almanya tarafından birçok yeni teknolojiyi bir araya getiren ekonomik ve politik strateji planıdır. Bu doğrultuda diğer ülkelerde farklı tanımlamalarla da olsa kendi ulusal planlarını açıklamışlardır. Bu çalışmada, dördüncü endüstri devrimi ve yaşanmış endüstri devrimlerinin karşılaştırmalı olarak yorumlanması ve alt bileşenleri açıklanması bulunmaktadır. Bir diğer ele alınan husus ise, yeni teknolojilerin günümüz dünyasını ve geleceği şekillendiren sosyo-mekansal değişikliklerin olumlu ve olumsuz sonuçları ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Endüstri 4.0 kavramı altında konuşulan yeni teknolojilerin Türkiye'de akıllı fabrikalar özelinde yaşanan sosyo-mekansal dönüşümü anlamaya çalışmaktır. Fabrikaların mevcut durumunun ve gelecek beklentilerinin ne olduğuna dair genel bir çerçeve çizilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda çeşitli fabrika ve sektörden katılımcıyla yapılan görüşmelere ek olarak medya üzerinde öne çıkan sektör liderlerinin de medya okuması yapılarak genel söylemler ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. Katılımcılar Endüstri 4.0'a geçişi gerekli görmüş, fakat yeni teknolojileri işletmelere entegre etmede mevcut bilgi, bilişim, iletişim altyapılarının yeterli olmadığını belirtmişlerdir.

Technological developments in the field of production have also deeply affected the social and economic life. In this context, the fourth industrial revolution has been transforming both the present and future of humankind incontrovertibly. The notion of Industry 4.0 first coined by Germany in 2011 and widely used since then to indicate the economic and political strategy plans that brings together many new and diverse technologies. In this study, a comparative interpretation and explanation of the fourth industrial revolution as well as the previous ones will be explored. This study is also concerned with positive and negative consequences of the socio-spatial changes with regard to novel technologies. The aim of this study is to explore the socio-spatial transformations of factory in Turkey in line with the notions of smart factory and Industry 4.0. To this end, an overall framework on the current situation of factories and their future prospects are presented on the basis of the semi-structured interviews carried out with the representatives of various factories and sectors. In addition to the interviews, a discourse analysis of some significant figures of the sector in the media are presented to help with the analysis of the interviews. As a conclusion, the participants of this study expressed that a transition to Industry 4.0 is necessary, however, they also pointed out that current knowledge, IT and communication infrastructures are insufficient.
