Vladimir Propp’un yapısal çözümleme yöntemi çerçevesinde “Tadeo Jones 2: Kral Midas’ın Sırrı” filmi incelemesi

Abstract

Görsel sanatlar, teknolojinin gelişmesiyle seyir dünyamıza yenilikçi deneyimler sunmaya başlamıştır. Sinemada bu süreçte kitlelere hitap eden en etkili aktarım biçimlerinden birisi olmuştur. Animasyon film yapımcıları, mitolojik hikâyelerle kurguladıkları senaryolarını büyüleyici görsel efektlerle süsleyip sürükleyici bir anlatı yapısı oluşturmaktadırlar. İncelediğimiz film olan “Tadeo Jones 2: Kral Midas’ın Sırrı”, M.Ö. 738 – M.Ö. 696 yılları arasında Gordion kentinde; günümüz Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, Kütahya şehirlerini kapsayan bölgede krallık sürmüş, efsaneleriyle ünlü Kral Midas’ın hikâyesini anlatan başarılı bir animasyon örneğidir. Masalların yapısını inceleyen Rus masal bilimci Vladimir Proop’un Masalın Biçim Bilimi kitabında ortaya koyduğu yapısal çözümleme yöntemi, farklı türlerde birçok metin üzerinde çözümleme yapan çalışmacıların kullandığı bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmada, Proop’un yapısal çözümleme yöntemi kullanılarak “Tadeo Jones 2: Kral Midas’ın Sırrı” filminin anlatı çözümlemesinde, Proop’un belirlemiş olduğu işlevlerin yer alıp almadığının ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada ilk olarak filmin olay örgüsü çıkarılıp, Vladimir Proop’un belirlediği 31 işlevin varlığı incelenmiştir. Daha sonra yine Proop’un yönteminde belirlediği eylem alanlarının, filmin öyküsündeki varlığı araştırılmıştır.

Animated filmmakers embellish their scenarios with fascinating visual effects to create a gripping narrative structure. The film we studied, "Tadeo Jones 2: The Secret of King Midas", BC. 738 - BC In the city of Gordion between the years 696; is a successful example of animation that tells the story of King Midas, famous for its myths, which survived in the region covering today's Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir and Kütahya cities. The structural analysis method of the Russian fairytale scientist Vladimir Proop, which is studying the structure of the masks, in the Book of Forms of Fairy Tales is a method used by the workers who analyze many texts in different genres. In this study, it is aimed to find out whether Proop has functions that are determined by Proop in the narrative analysis of "Tadeo Jones 2: King of Midas's Secret" filmin by using the structural analysis method. In the study, first the filmin event frame was removed and the presence of 31 functions determined by Vladimir Proop was examined. Then, again, the existence of action fields, film story, which Proop has determined in his method has been researched.
